Their Extended Play made an achievement when they were selected in Windows Media Player. There all songs were produced and directed by themselves. This EP was recorded under the battle space-born studios. Imagine Dragons released their second extended play in 2009. Ben McKee joined the band as the replacement of Lemke.Īfter gaining lots of success in their hometown Provo, Utah, the band decided to move to Las Vegas for better opportunities. After some time, Dave Lemke decided to take a different path, so he also left the group. Then later, Tolmen added his wife Brittany Tolman to the group as a backup singer and supporting keyboard player. After that, Tolman added Wayne Sermon, who was his school time friend. Their main member Andrew (guitarist) and Aurora (piano player), left the group, which created a big vacuum within the group. In the next year, this band went through lots of composition. The five of them released their first extended play in 2008, and named it “Speak to Me.” The name of the group, “Imagine Dragons,” came into existence with the consent of all constituent members. Later, they met with the other members of the group, Andrew Beck (guitarist), Dave Lemke (bass), and Aurora Florence (piano player). I would highly recommend that people check out this album if they want to experience a quality album full of passion intertwined with painful past experiences.Imagine Dragons is one of the leading rock bands from America, which hales from Nevada, Las Vegas.

While the album features several fast-paced songs, it also includes some slower, more intimate tracks such as “Demons.”Įssentially, the album is a fantastic work of art in which every song has a totally unique vibe yet the album still manages to feel cohesive. Another one of my favorites, “On Top Of The World,” makes you feel just that: on top of the world (hint: listen while driving in the car with your windows down it enhances the effect). The recently popularized “It’s Time,” which has been covered on Glee, is incredibly empowering. Their sound is very distinct and frontman Dan Reynolds’s voice is amazing, blending well with the many different sounds found within each song.įrom the bass-filled, spine-chilling sound of “Radioactive” to songs such as “Tiptoe” that just make you feel good, Night Visions has it all. They combine real instruments with a synthesized sound, giving the band a flare of pop. While the group is classified as indie rock, their music could certainly appeal to a wide variety of musical tastes. From the moment the bass drops in the first track, one of my personal favorites on the album, “Radioactive,” I get goosebumps that last until the final song on the album ends. Needless to say, it has quickly become one of my favorite albums. Soon after becoming slightly obsessed with their music I heard on YouTube, I was eager to run to Target and get myself a copy of their debut album, Night Visions, which was released Tuesday, Sept. I liked the group’s sound and I quickly began listening to all of their songs on YouTube. Upon hearing a track by indie rock band Imagine Dragons on the radio not too long ago, I was hooked.
